Todos los pasos para curar un mate de calabaza

El siguiente proceso es únicamente para los mates de calabaza nuevos.

1. Colocar yerba mate nueva hasta el borde del metal o fin de la calabaza.
2. Humedecer toda la yerba con agua tibia.
3. Asegurarse que esté bien húmeda pero no encharcada.
4. Dejar reposar durante 24 hs
5. Sacar la yerba con una cuchara.
   
6. Repetir los pasos del 1 al 5 cuatro veces más.
7. Dejar secar completamente en un lugar ventilado o sol intermedio.
8. Ya está listo para usar!

Notas importantes:

• Las calabazas son un producto de la naturaleza, únicas en forma y color. Cada detalle es particular de cada calabaza. 
• Las calabazas tienen diferentes porosidades, por lo tanto durante el curado puedes generarse diferentes manchas con tonalidades más claras y más oscuras.
• Al tratarse de un producto poroso y manipularlo con agua es totalmente normal que salgan hongos, no pasa nada, se pasa una servilleta y se sigue con el procedimiento.

1. Fill the mate with fresh yerba mate up to the rim of the metal or the edge of the calabash gourd.

2. With warm water get wet all the yerba mate.

3. Make sure it’s well-moistened but not flooded.

4. Let it rest for 24 hours.

5. Remove the yerba with a spoon.

6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 four more times.

7. Let the mate dry completely in a ventilated area or indirect sunlight.

8. It’s ready to use!

Important Notes:

• Calabash gourds are natural products, unique in shape and color. Each detail is part of the gourd's natural character.

• Gourds have different porosities, so during the curing process, spots in lighter or darker tones may appear.

• Since it’s a porous material and you’re using water, it’s completely normal for mold to appear. Don’t worry—just wipe it off with a paper towel and continue the process.
